The frame is very well made, and is very substantial, passing as actual metal. The velvet back is very attractive. It is important to note that the silver is heavily antiqued, so the patina is a combination of silver and black. The design is lovely, down to the details of the little feathers that curl right below the raven's skull, and on the bottom of the frame. I have bought several, and will buy again.
